A tender reflection on a child’s love for his parents; the dreams he cannot afford, the helplessness he carries, and the one wish that remains beyond all limits: may his father live for a hundred years. Poem: Imtiaz Mahmud Voice: Fazly Rabby A Film by: The Jubi Presented by: Uprising Arts
Built in 1582 CE (989 AH), the Kherua Mosque in Sherpur, Bogura, is one of Bengal’s significant surviving examples of early Mughal-era architecture. Its inscription attributes its construction to Mirza Murad Khan Qaqshal. The mosque preserves a remarkable blend of Bengal’s Sultanate architectural traditions and emerging Mughal forms, reflecting a period of major political and cultural transition in Bengal. More than four centuries later, the mosque still stands as a living part of Bangladesh’s heritage.
