The Third Birth

No Discrimination. No Climate Injustice. No Erasure.

Bangladesh has been born twice. The third birth is the transformation still ahead.

Overview

Bangladesh has been born twice.

In 1971, through liberation. In 2024, through the July Revolution. The Third Birth has not yet arrived — it is not an event but a process. Through films, research, performances, photography, and public dialogue, the campaign explores the ideas, people, and movements that contribute to that transformation.

Future

The Third Birth

Why The Third Birth?

Meaningful transformation begins with understanding.

Unlike advocacy campaigns that push predetermined solutions, The Third Birth is built on a different premise. We are not here to tell people what to think. We are here to create conditions for people to think more deeply, see more clearly, and imagine more generously. The campaign documents, surfaces, and amplifies — and trusts the audience to do the rest.

Sub-Campaigns

Three demands, one campaign.

No Discrimination

Living Humanity

Equal voice, dignity, and justice for communities marginalized by caste, class, gender, religion, or belief — surfaced through documentary film, testimony, and community dialogue.

No Climate Injustice

Living Planet

The unequal burden of the climate crisis — how communities least responsible for environmental harm carry its heaviest cost.

No Erasure

Living Culture

The right of communities to narrate their own history — resisting the rewriting or disappearance of memory, tradition, and identity.
